Found something about what’s actually in them.

Don’t expect either bill to go anywhere.

As soon as the Trump shakedown ends, the subpoenas start flying.

If he backs off on his demand for $5.7 billion for his wall without a plan, then he gets flack from the Coulter contingency.

So, he has little motivation to end the shutdown.

Polls show his approval numbers are falling particularly among his base of suburban men, white evangelicals, Republicans, and men without college degrees.

With his approval numbers dropping, his base slipping away, and the majority of Americans reporting that spending billions on Trump's wall is a a dumb ideal, why on earth would Democrats offer him an easy out?

House investigations are toothless as you saw with the Republicans “flying subpoenas” at the FBI that were simply ignored. It’s just for show apparently. Trump is fighting for one of the issues that arguably got him to the White House, border security and immigration consistently rank as a top issue with the voter. In this case Trump is absolutely right on policy (Democrats voted for the border barrier before Trump) a strong barrier is needed in many areas of the border so I think he is fine to keep fighting for it.

That's what I wondered.

Months ago, Cohen’s sentencing memo from his lawyers makes clear that Cohen lied at the direction of Client-1 (whoever that might be. )

“The campaign finance and false statements allegations…arose from Michael’s fierce loyalty to Client-1. In each case, the conduct was intended to benefit Client-1, in accordance with Client-1’s directives.

Giuliani is making the rounds on the talk show programs claiming one thing and another, such as there was indeed collusion going with the Trump campaign and the Russians, and the Trump Tower Moscow business did indeed go on all the way through the end of the election and that Trump participated.

What is Pelosi holding out for? What does she want from Trump beyond permanent status for DACA people, a pathway to citizenship for millions of people "living in the shadows" and eventually amnesty for millions of illegal aliens... and Trump to resign... Is that all or is there more?

What I don't understand is if walls are so immoral and evil then why don't the Dems push to have the ones that are already installed along sections of the border torn down?
Not all walls are evil. His version of a wall is evil. 40 ft high bla bla

The problem is, the plans are partisan. One has money for the wall and the other has no money for the wall, so as the article states, neither will likely have the required 60 votes to advance.

And the biggest hurdle is that the president will only sign the bill with money for the wall; so if that bill doesn't advance (which I can't see happening), I don't think this pushes the needle.

Although, at least they are actually putting bills forward. Maybe next, they will take the next step and talk like adults and negotiate.

These type of bills must originate in the house. It is a spending bill. The Senate can modify by amendment a previous bill and send it BACK to the house. BUT... A spending bill cannot originate in the Senate.
