If you live in America, you are definitely a part of Wall Street regardless you have retirement or not.

Stock market isn’t the Wall Street. It’s a part of Wall Street.

Also stock trade is just trading between companies.

Still better than taxing income.

Taxes will go up next time they need money for another pet project. They never get done.

I wish they'd raise it 50 cents. Don't you people want a first class transportation system?

"Hey JoeQ public- I'll give you a tax break for a while! ( okay let's slip some tax increases in here to pay for $hit, they'll never know... )

Way to go you Conservative guy you!
I'm absolutely fine with this and have supported it going back a decade with the stipulation that every cent be used for roads and bridges. We also need to look into ways to tax electric and other vehicles that do not use gasoline/diesel.

.25/gallon is better than paying per mile like Washington State is proposing.

There are Federal, and STATE gasoline taxes. My state, (PA) increased their gas tax a few years ago to the highest in the country, to $.58 per gallon. They said it was for infrastructure improvement, but much of the money is going to public transportation, and union wages, benefits, and pensions. The bill was bipartisan, and cosponsored by my state senator, a Republican, then signed by the Republican Governor at the time. So, its not just Democrats raising taxes all the time by themselves.

Gasoline taxes are VERY regressive, and hurt the working poor, and middle income earner the worst. People have to drive to work, and to do other necessary chores. If Trump is really for this I absolutely disagree with him. Gas taxes raise the cost of everything as transportation costs are built into every product, and service we purchase.
