What difference would it have made if he had? The GOP would killed any such proposal in a New York minute because it would've been something that Obama wanted. Mitch McConnell told the truth when he said that the GOP's top priority was to make Obama a one-term president and I'll be damned if they didn't try and they carried that same attitude into Obama's second term, even though they knew Obama wouldn't be up for election again.

BULL!!!!!!!!

Just because someone doesn’t own a vehicle doesn’t mean they don’t benefit from infrastructure. Maybe they should pay a tax for not owning a vehicle instead of being freeloaders.

We should then BAN hybrid and electric vehicles and bicycles that use the roads but aren't paying their fair share of the burden. The only "fair" way is to tax by the mile driven, and not the gallon of fuel purchased.

Yes, I'm all for user taxes.

Um, they do pay the tax. The tax is reflected in the cost of food, clothing, and other items they purchase.

Um, he could have done it in his first 2 years. You remember, the time period where he said he had a mandate and would go it alone without the repubs? But then it's their fault for not working with him. (hint: It's both their faults)

Proposing a tax and getting a tax are two different things.

Default Trump proposes .25cent fuel tax INCREASE to fund infrastructure

If it'll "git 'er done" then do it.

Trump supporters think a tax is so much more important and has more of an impact on more people than the Florida school shooting.

am I doing this right?

Thanks rural truck driving Trump supporters. Go ahead and pay more taxes while I get big income tax breaks and work from home so pay nothing significant in gas tax.
