Critics of Trump aren't really debating whether or not Haiti is a sh!thole, they know it is. They just want to use this as an opportunity to call him a racist.
Exactly. Trump's behavior is really no surprise, we's seen trash mouths like this through out our lives, if we have any integrity at all we don't associate with degenerates like this. But 25% of the nation thinks this is acceptable behavior? That's the really amazing part of this story. It shows how divided the USA really is, in many ways it has not changed a bit from pre-Civil war times.
I would like to hear Trump explain why he continues to send Americans to die in s-hole countries after promising that he would not. It is needless wars in s-hole countries that inevitably lead to unwanted immigration from those same places.
^ well sort of like saying "grabbing the P*ssy isn't offensive coming out of the mouth of a President also !
He wasn't the President when he said that. Further, it was said while in the private company of other men, not intended to be for public hearing, and it was braggadocio (empty boasting).
Are you expecting a President to be a Saint? You're going to be waiting a long time. Are you a Saint? Have you ever used foul language when in the company of other men (or when a boy)? Unless you're a Saint or a liar, the answer is "yes."
Have you ever referred to some place as a "hellhole?" What about "sh*thole?" The point being made by the President was valid, even if you didn't like whatever term he might have used (which we don't know).
As a boy growing up, I remember hearing other boys starting to use "dirty" words in their conversations (never around girls). They were boasting, and trying to show their "manhood." One began to hear things like, "I'd like to **** her," or, "She has a hot ***." Unless you are a Saint, you heard this too, and engaged in it. Don't tell me you didn't. And I know for a fact that women also say things when around women only. I have five sisters, and I have also been told by other women that women are not immune to using foul language and talking "dirty" about men. And I know women use the "F" word.
This was a closed door meeting, not meant for public ears. That Dick Durban chose to broadcast it to the public is a despicable breach of trust. He should be forever banned from future discussions on any policy of importance. He cannot be trusted. Dick Durban should lose his security clearance based on this 'leak' and never be allowed access to any classified information. I hate to think what kind of information he wouldn't think twice about leaking to the wrong people.
Personally, I don't care what words the President used. He was right on principle. That's what's important here.

Saying "You do not recall" a comment being uttered or "Did not hear" a word being said is not a firm denial that it did not happen. It is the most weasel of denials or a backhanded admission it was said.

The GOP under trump is indeed the party of weasels and cowards.
