Trump lies everyday and poor Spicer has do defend it in daily briefings. That's painful to watch. I think the fools were the ones who voted for Trump. Actually, they are not fools, they just believed what he said. You can't fault them for that. But when you have an inexperience government in office we need to brace for the worst.
To your point, didn't Obama recently use an executive order to change the procedure of sharing, so more agencies have access to it at that point -- meaning it would be hard to determine who exactly leaked it if a felony was committed. We as of now can't prove it was Rice.
So you agree, all the people calling for the criminal prosecution have absolutely no basis for the charges.
I am not saying you are necessarily wrong, but I heard from a former NSA guy who said she could have simply asked for any records that hit on certain words, people, phrases, location...like any mention of Trump and with anyone Russian. She could then get a list of information see something - find it interesting and unmask it.
You understand that this nothing more than speculation. That there can't be any mention of Trump else it wouldn't be masked in the first place.
And that it comes from 'I heard from someone that you don't know, and who I can't identify, but trust me....'
Just to make this whole Obama leaking scandal even jucier...Evelyn Farkas was a foreign policy advisor for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Anyone else curious how much unmasked info Obama had Susan Rice or Ben Rhodes funnel to Hillary through Farkas ? Anyone else curious what Hilary did with that information?
This is going to get deeper and uglier.

Well, it seems the spread sheets she requested and got, were citizen to citizen phone communications. Not intercepts.
Pretty detailed logs of ALL Trump campaign communications. Very few foreign phone calls logged.
Care to state exactly what crime she has supposedly committed? Remember that unmasking doesn't equal leaking.
She isn't an investigator and she had obtained and collected detailed records of citizen to citizen communications. Communications centered around a political campaign, of the opposing political party of the person you work for.
What does Susan Rice need with calls back & forth between Don Jr. and Kellyanne Conway?
Clean out the earwax in your ears is all it takes... someone with intimate knowledge told her and she listened with her EARS.. at some point SOMEONE knew before it was masked... at some point SOMEONE told her the knowledge that they knew... at THAT point, she decided to unmask it... anti-Trumpers can't figure out their left from their right...
ahhh..that ubiquitous 'someone' that is at the heart of all conspiracy theories.
So, she knew..but she needed to unmask because...uh..because..she needed to know..for sure?
Or perhaps..she was doing her job. There is no evidence..you know..like...proof--that she unmasked for political gain...assumptions are not proof.
So we investigate..all of this...just as long as we include all of the Trump clique's Russian ties, conflicts of interest, gobbling every dollar they can get their hands on and criminal incompetence...no, wait, scratch that last...not a crime in DC--the new normal.
