Under 18 USC 798, it is a felony to knowingly and willfully communicate classified material to an unauthorized person.
A similar law, 50 USC 1809, forbids the unauthorized disclosure of national security information. Three other statutes may also have been violated.
Really? Care to elaborate? Please list events, names, and dates - because nobody's been able to provide this information.
To your point, didn't Obama recently use an executive order to change the procedure of sharing, so more agencies have access to it at that point -- meaning it would be hard to determine who exactly leaked it if a felony was committed. We as of now can't prove it was Rice.
It's astonishing watching you folks struggle with this mess. When Trump made his first accusations about Obama the criticism was deafening. Now look where you are...yeah, he spied on Trump, but it was legal dummy, don't you get it?
C'mon folks, an outgoing Democratic administration spied on the presidential campaign of a Republican competitor in an attempt to sway the election by leaking sensational information. Justify it all you want, it doesn't get any dirtier than this. Obama got away with it in 2012 with the IRS scandal, I guess he thought he could do it again.
My prediction, for what it's worth, this is going to turn into the largest political scandal we've ever seen in our lifetime.

Just to make this whole Obama leaking scandal even jucier...Evelyn Farkas was a foreign policy advisor for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Anyone else curious how much unmasked info Obama had Susan Rice or Ben Rhodes funnel to Hillary through Farkas ? Anyone else curious what Hilary did with that information?

The charge against Susan Rice is that she deliberately unmasked Trump personnel in classified information.
The YUGE flaw in that argument is that if the personnel were masked in the classified information, then she couldn't possibly know that the masked personnel were Trump's people.
But the conservative propaganda effort is so desperate to crystalize attention upon something other than the problems of the Trump administration, they've finally settled on Susan Rice as the scapegoat of the moment.
This is another of T Rump's fallacies that he uses to distract others that he wants to change the subject from what ever disaster he has talked his way into lately. Recently he has been polling so low that he can't get out of his recent prevarication cesspool with more words that he can't support with evidence. It seems remarkable that the electorate was so deceived by the constant barrage of "believe me" that he can manage to even poll a single person who feels this president can be trusted to the extent that any words uttered by him have a basis in fact. They just announce another member of the T Rump team must leave. Has it become possible that the electorate can use the Constitution to remove this naked emperor from the office?
Clean out the earwax in your ears is all it takes... someone with intimate knowledge told her and she listened with her EARS.. at some point SOMEONE knew before it was masked... at some point SOMEONE told her the knowledge that they knew... at THAT point, she decided to unmask it... anti-Trumpers can't figure out their left from their right...
Good let her testify. However, she did nothing wrong. Unmasking is not illegal. Leaking is illegal and she didn't leak anything. Some people seem to not know the difference between unmasking and leaking.
I want to hear what she has to say about what she knows about the Trump team collusion with Russia. Maybe we will actually find out useful information.
