To start off one's Presidency by declaring war on the free press is foolish and naive. No White House loves the press. There is always a sort of adversarial relationship.

Trump is learning a lesson. He can deny the press access and interviews and information, but ultimately, the free press is as powerful as the Presidency. It's in our Constitution and part of our democracy. It's not going anywhere, and it has a bully pulpit, too.

Trump is used to bullying those without power. He may have met his match.

He's so thin skinned that it seems abnormal. He is going to be criticized every day he is in office, just like all the other Presidents. He had better get used to it, or his legacy will be that he went down in flames like Nixon.

CNN is a highly respected, legitimate news organization. It employs the best of the best. If a President has trouble with CNN, that President has a problem with the public getting information. And that's a problem.
Hilarious post. You can't actually believe all the stuff you posted.

The only lesson that will be learned may be by CNN. They spent the last year Beating Trump with clubs, and now the positions are reversed. Trump is at the top of the food chain, and CNN could be the next meal. How can this clown actually think he is going to win this Battle? He needs to think this through. Trump and the Government can do a lot more unpleasant things to CNN than they can do to Trump. Does anyone seriously think Trump is going to let CNN Trash him all over the world with no consequences? Wonder how many Permits and Approvals CNN needs from the US Government, to operate here. Wonder how many times the FCC has to check their Communications equipment, to make sure it complies to Federal Regulations? One could go on and on, with the list of sharp sticks that could be used to poke CNN in the eye with. Much like a Tenant threatening the Landlord. Trump is no longer a "Candidate."

CNN is already tied to the post in front of the Brick wall, so its going to be interesting to see what happens next, after "Ready, Aim...."

President Trump already beat CNN and the MSM. He won the election.

(Oh, nice post that you wrote there.)

Trump created this adversarial position with the media, he made derogatory statements about them, and keeps poking a stick at a dragon. He started it. He really should be kissing their butts because they gave him billions of dollars of free advertising over the past 18 months or so. He wanted their stories then, and now flips the switch and wants them to go away.

Typical Trump, he will use your services to his benefit, but then refuse to have anything to do with you when payment time comes.
There is an old saying that goes, "You don't slap a Grizzly in the Face because he growled at you for teasing him over a year." Don't need to explain that one to anybody.

And get your facts straight. CNN caused this rift by interfering with the Elections and picking sides with Candidates. CNN passed questions to Hillary, on the Town Hall meetings, in a direct attempt to rig the election. They have no solid base now to fight anyone, since they aren't credible and mean nothing more that a Tabloid in News. Look at their rating. They are the lowest of all the other Low Numbers the Press recently got in a Poll. Any Pounding Trump gives them will be Cheered by the Trumps Base, and Laughed at by others, as they got what they deserved. They have no support base, other than Hillary's losers.

CNN does on the fly fact check unlike other news outlets. She is so disappointed with the fact check result though :-)
She and whole CNN highly paid team can't even hide their support for Clinton during elections. They are good laugh on youtube though. Their youtube side is doing good.

guess what Trumpy folk that is the WHOLE POINT of a free press. A press that can hold a lying fool to account, a press that can tell it like it is. Trump ought to have more sense than to think he can run the country while purposely alienating the majority of the population. CNN, is completely correct to give him a heads up and a chance to pull his head out .

the more Trump fights the better the ratings. Both MSNBC and CNN are fully aware that that there are tens of millions of American viewers up for grabs.... Trump is being setup by his own party from what I can see, they are going to drop him as soon as he publicly threatens to shut down a newspaper, and you know he will.

And that is why Trump has spent the last year calling the media crooked, and claiming all media outlets (except Fox News of course) are failing and going out of business. He has trained his supporters to distrust the media, so that when they do print things about him, they won't believe it. No matter how true those stories are.

He was able to prove this works over the weekend with the inauguration crowd numbers. Plenty of his followers are agreeing with him, saying the media is lying about the number of people who attended the inauguration. It doesn't matter that the pictures tell a different story, they'll believe whatever Trump says since the media is now crooked and full of "fake news".

Hey, fake news boy. First you're assuming that millions of Americans are blank slates waiting to be filled up with the tastiest flavor of kool aid. Don't insult our intelligence. Not sure if you're aware that people actually think for themselves. And you also somehow know Trump is being set up (it's spaced by the way) by his own party, who is waiting for him to "shut down a newspaper?" That's beyond laughable.

It's no wonder you're defending CNN. You're acting exactly like them.

It hires the likes of ultra liberals like Donna Brazille who gave Hillary questions in advance to subvert the election process. The Communist News Network has been on a steady decline for years, and their leftist politics has become apparent to all except those so far out in left field, they thought Obama was a conservative.

BTW - The press is not suppose to have a "bully pulpit", they are suppose to report the news, not try to make it themselves.
Trump and other Republicans are tired of the constant bias and favoritism toward the Democrats, and relentless attacks on the Republicans. Yes the Founding Fathers wanted a free press, but they never envisioned much of the press would choose sides and be in bed with one of the political parties.

I highly doubt it many people watch CNN in foreign countries. Each country has their own news media that the majority of the population watch. How many Americans watch Tokyo Broadcasting Station? The same applies to Korean or Chinese news outlets. If I remember right, in China the news is controlled by the state run news agency. I personally think it's ridiculous that CNN thinks they have any leverage in foreign countries.
