I don't think so. I think Trump being elected would finally get some real bi-partisan work out of the House and Senate all aimed at limiting the powers of the President.
Are you kidding me. Are you really listening to Trump. He would be a dictator. He doesn't like you...you're out lol
Our sheriff would refuse. He is a big believer in gun rights. He says that anyone who can legally carry, should carry. He has the CCW classes at a discount.
Can you imagine how the gun confiscation staff meetings would go?
"OK, we need you to go into this densely populated, heavily armed trailer park full of bubbas who are already pissed off at the federal government for outsourcing jobs. They might be drunk too. We then need you to tell them that they have to turn over all of their guns and ammo or bad things are going to happen. Now, we have to do this all over the country, so you have to do this in pairs. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the local and state government will probably try to either stop you or arrest you."
Who wouldn't sign up for that plum job?
Correct
The US does not have a large enough army, police force, or wing of federal agents to perform that task. In the first large city they made such an attempt, they would have casualties greater than most battles in WW2.
1. most cops and soldiers are gun owners
2. most cops and soldiers do not agree with gun confiscation
3. nearly all cops and soldiers would refuse orders about gun confiscation
4. if gun confiscation was initiated, it would be an actual "hot" civil war, with hundreds of thousands of casualties. Such an action would probably result in a miltary coup against the residing government.
