So many people these days seem to think everyone is owed a check, a house, food, healthcare, a phone, and college. Can anybody explain why this is? Can anyone explain why a person should receive resources which far exceed their worth to society?
Sad because our very government, has let certain people to believe this theory. Many people feel they are owed, and when illegal law breakers also feel this way, something wrong with this Country.

Who the hell are YOU to judge the worth of another human being?
Everyone is owed equal access in the pursuit of happiness. It's kind of hard to be happy when you're a pawn in someone else's game. This is why I support a government role in establishing rules that make it likely, not guaranteed but likely, that a reasonable person doing reasonable things and living a decent life will be able to secure the basics (food, shelter, clothing, health care and transportation) and some of life's extras. I don't like it when the government establishes rules that make it likely that the ultra rich will get even richer by exploiting the poor and weak.

The elite and their leeches are exploiting the middle class.

Every human on the planet is entitled to food, shelter, and healthcare and I can't imagine why anyone would deny those to any person.
Regarding checks, phones and education, I firmly support the right of representative democracies to offer or deny those as a majority of members/citizens deem appropriate.

Who is "judging anyone's worth"? Idiotic comment. The issue is that people should be sufficiently productive to meet their own needs. Why is a deadbeat bum "worth" more than the person that goes to work every day and earns a paycheck, only to have it taken from him and handed to someone that refuses to work?

They are entitled to whatever they earn and produce. No more, no less. Everything given to someone that didn't earn it was taken by force from someone that did.

Agreed. They're also exploiting the working classes by paying slave wages. Australian workers get $15 an hour at a minimum. Somehow Australia manages to be a first world nation with a thriving economy. How can this be? I thought the world would end if corporations didn't have the right to pay workers less than the cost of subsistence.
