I don't mind the right to die or right to try movements. As long as a person is not depressed then they should be able to choose.

It ought to be a decision made with the doctor's consultation, as opposed to politicians and religious ministers trying to run the show.

Its not about just giving up hope you authoritarians. It is about having one's own life decisions in their own hands, under the guidance of his/her doctors. The right give YOU the choice to make your own decisions, sounds like an idea people like you'd surely hate.

Actually you totally missed what have been saying I'm for it as long as people are not coached and allowed to make their own decision. Good grief. All you people want to do is argue, you don't even read the posts.

My mother died of congestive heart failure. Her organs stopped working one by one until she died drowning in her own fluid. It took her 6 months.

Your overwhelming incapacity to see anything beyond a worn-out political meme makes me sad for this country.
^^ This.

To choose your own time and to die on your own terms is something I think we should all support. If I found out that I had a terminal illness, I would have a huge party with friends and family so they could all see me before my health failed. And it would not be easy, but I would go when I chose to, not when I no longer had the strength to carry on.
