Yup, again. You can guarantee if the president takes a side in a hot button issue, he'll end up on the wrong side. Every. Time. You can also guarantee he'll ignore any issue where a white person is wronged, and always come to the defense of wronged person of color. Every. Time. You can also guarantee that when the real story comes out, it will show that the person screaming racism was actually in the wrong. Every. Time.

The media oversimplifies it with their headlines. No, I'm sure he didn't solder the wires and create it all from scratch. No one said he is ripe for the Nobel prize. But the kid's 14, give him a break; he's just experimenting and learning. He has to start somewhere. Have you bothered to read the news articles on the story? No one thought that it was a bomb. Every one however agreed it looked like a HOAX BOMB, which it most likely was.
Isn't some sort of intention to deceive part of a hoax? Because as far as the articles go, every time he was asked, he said it was a clock. Which it was. The idiots in the local police department had to come up with "lack of a broader explanation" - whatever that means - to justify their overreaction.
