So you are saying we can cut nothing?

Maybe $300,000 for the study of duck genitalia?

Or $100,000 for studying how fast shrimp can run?

Or is that too vital to cut..

You DO realize don't you that a significant chunk of every dollar the government spends ends up in somebody's paycheck somewhere right?

That money doesn't just "disappear". It goes into people's wages - who then spend that money and boost the economy - just like they do if they get paid by the private sector. Reduced tax revenues as a fallout from the Great Recession have resulted local, state and federal government job loses of about 750,000. That's THREE QUARTERS OF A MILLION American who are not spending like the would otherwise - resulting in less money for the businesses of the private sector.
The economy has recovered a great deal since 2008, but it would have recovered even faster - and a great deal more - had we not had to lay off AN ADDITION THREE QUARTERS OF A MILLION well-paid Americans.

Ken

The US is the world's largest investor in industrial robotics. As such, it is poised to recapture the top spot for global manufacturing by 2020, according to the consensus of 500 global manufacturing CEOs.

The next POTUS will however, take a bow.

These will not be your daddy's factories, employing the masses.
