Liberal policies ended slavery in the country; liberal policies gave women the right to vote; liberals were responsible for civil rights; liberals created the New Deal that grew the middle class; liberals created Social Security and Medicare that brought seniors out f poverty.

Where were conservatives? Opposing them on every one of those issues.

That is hilarious. You remind me of the ROTC guy in "Animal House" screaming ,"All is well!" as chaos unfolds around him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDAmP...yer_detailpage

1. Bill Clinton has urged Obama to keep his promise (if not, he is a liar- Clinton put him in a box)

2. Senate and Congressional Democrats are formulating legislation to alllow citizens to keep thier previous healthcare. If this happens, Obamacare is finished, as there is no "host" for the "parasite".

3. 100,000 have signed up, while 5 million have lost thier insurance

4. Premiums and deductibles are higher for most who previously had insurance

5. It is estimated that 105 million Americans will lose thier health insurance with Obamacare. Let me see......... 105 million - 40 million = a net loss of 65 million with healthcare. Those who lose thier healthcare, of course, are mostly the productive citizens of the US.

6. Obamacare has nothing to do with healthcare- it is a wealth redistribution scheme. If that was not so, those 40 million without insurance would have been rolled into Medicare

Speaking of which, MTA, why is moveon.org having you mine internet sites rather than working on that computer code for Obamacare? It seems as though that would be money better spent at this time. Perhaps they look at is as "good money after bad".

Communist have been accepted under the Democrat umbrella, for a century or more.

The roots are so deep, that the Progressive controlling cancer, will always be there in regression for a few decades.
The immigration turmoil has allowed so many people in from socialist nations that have no reason to think independently as a sovereign person of the world.

Disagree.

Heck, has he seen the demographic trends in this country?!? By 2050 the USA will be about 45% white. At this point in time, the GOP is overwhelmingly made up of white voters (many of whom are older too). Unless they start to appeal to more minority voters (which, again at this point in time, they definitely are not and don't seem to be heading in that direction anytime in the near future either), then I cannot for the life of me understand how he reached this conclusion.

Good luck with that one Charles.

I don't agree with Krauthammer, either. I think that many Dems will wake up and realize that "O" was a fricken mistake, (taking them long enough), but they will go right back in to it by electing Hillary...because they think SHE is the answer....lol

Agreed. Liberals are idealogues who will disregard reality and assume that the failures of liberalism were due to -

obstruction by conservatives

liberal policy not going "far enough"

a public too stupid to understand the inherent "truths" of liberalism

wrong messenger

It would never occur to a liberal, after faced with policy failure again and again, that perhaps thier philosophy is flawed and incorrect. Such a realization is simply impossible for them.

And so, despite the disaster that has been Obama, liberals, idiots, and dependents will line up in droves and vote for the next liberal candidate, forgetting events of the last few years, months, weeks, and days.

From Charles' lips to God's ear.

Unfortunately, he isn't right. Liberals will stop at nothing to get free stuff from other people through the government.

When your "bumps in the road" involve taking peoples' healthcare choices out of their hands and placing them into the hands of unelected federal bureaucrats, and costing hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars more than projected, then yes they absolutely do mean that the unpaved road was superior.

And who are those people? Young healthy financially stable single men who rarely use healthcare services? Or families and people with poor health and/or poor finances?
Quote:
Liberal policies ended slavery in the country;
No they didn't. The liberal policies of today didn't exist when slavery ended. People in the 1860s, whether they were abolitionists or ardent slavery defenders, were ultra hard core right wingers by today's standards. They did not have federal income taxes. They did not have food stamps. They did not have a federally mandated education curriculum. They did not try to regulate how much salt or sugar people had. They did not try to ban guns. They did not support public sector unions. They were nothing like today's liberals and it is disingenuous to try to claim them as the spiritual ancestors of today's socialist leaning leftist control freaks.
Quote:
liberal policies gave women the right to vote;
No they didn't. Women protesting for the vote got women the vote. There was no "liberal policy" involved.
Quote:
liberals were responsible for civil rights;
No they weren't. Black people standing up for themselves were responsible for civil rights. Liberals simply capitalized on them. Any time a special interest group comes together, you will find some politician who is willing to take up their cause.

This is just like today's liberals and their stances on gay marriage and immigration. Harry Reid voted for and Bill Clinton signed into law the very same DOMA that they now oppose. Same with immigration. The Harry Reid who says comprehensive immigration reform is a top priority today sponsored legislation to limit immigration and called illegal immigration dangerous in the Clinton years.

Liberals aren't responsible for civil rights. Liberals are responsible for exploiting voting blocs when they appear.
Quote:
liberals created the New Deal that grew the middle class;
No, it didn't. The prosperity following WW2 grew the middle class. The New Deal prolonged the depression in America by half a decade longer than most of the rest of the world took to recover.
Quote:
liberals created Social Security and Medicare that brought seniors out f poverty.
Both of which are unsustainably draining the nation's economy.
Quote:
Where were conservatives? Opposing them on every one of those issues.
Only in your fantasies. It's the standard liberal delusional worldview of themselves as champions for the downtrodden. In the name of using government to fix society's problems liberals want to centralize more and more authority. But the road always leads not to everyone having freedom and security, but the exact opposite. Everyone being poor and nobody having rights. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. We have a lot of examples of "people's republics" to choose from for confirmation of this. Cuba. Cambodia. Russia. China. Nicaragua. Vietnam. East Germany. North Korea. Angola. Ethiopia.

And as for the prime successful socialist country that liberals like to point to, well it's usually Norway. And how does Norway fund its socialist programs? Oil. What do liberals oppose? Big oil.

Even Obama disagrees with you. He was on national TV today turning back ACA policies because it failed so spectacularly.

Crazy how you defend ACA when Obama himself admits it isn't working.
