Our football player, basketball, track, baseball, all wore their jerseys on game day.
Your school must not have had a lot of spirit and pride.

If it falls within the dress code, it would still be allowable even at the OP's school. IF it is within the dress code.

You don't know squat. Just throwing out trash talk without a clue.

Wearing "jerseys" doesn't address the question of a dress code for skimpily clad cheerleaders.

Nice try,...no cigar.

Yeah, it's easy to toss around an insult when your argument is weak.

The only dress code we had, was that you had to be clothed and have some sort of sole on your foot.

We went to high school because we wanted to, not because we were forced.

The cheerleaders in my high school wore matching shirts or sweaters, hair ribbons in school colors, matching sneakers (school colors one red, and one gold) and jeans on game day. They put on their uniforms for the end of day pep rally.

They still did cheers in the quad, and put up posters, etc. I don't see why you would need to wear a skirt to raise school spirit, they did just fine in jeans.

Never knew a high school that didn't have a written dress code.

I think you are full of sheep dip.

Well then, these "costumes" show too much skin.

It should not matter if they are costumes or not, if they are inappropriate, then they are inappropriate. It's not like the cheerleader outfits must be sleeveless to be functional. We are not talking about swim or gymnastics teams here. I could understand if a school decided the students could not wear swimsuits or gymnastics outfits to class.

How about the swim team or women's gymnastics?
