Right. Our Dems are too far right for the EU conservative parties.

Actually, Europe is more dog eat dog capitalist than the US, in many ways. The US socializes more than you know. Have you seen the homeless in the streets littering Barcelona or Budapest? Or do y'all just like the cherry pick the best countries like Germany, Sweden, and Norway?

Maybe they're less puritanical and more consistent with "socialist" policies, but little else differs.

Europe is also less socialist because it doesn't tax citizens abroad.

In before "have you even been to Europe brah" herp derp

Some countries let you keep your US citizenship like Ireland.
All of Ireland won't become a nation once again if the south of the Emerald Isle keeps that up.

They are doing this in reaction to stricter US tax laws that are being mandated on citizens living abroad and financial institutions that service them. This is just a reaction to the stricter laws. And instead of getting more money, the US will get less and less from these expats as they toss back their passports.

You have businesses and individuals now taking a stand. Everyone has their line.
Both corporate and individual tax laws want you to pay taxes on money not even earned in the US.

It's nothing more than a reaction to modified US tax laws.
Companies do it and now more individuals are doing it.

Our tax codes severely punishes those folks who moved to Europe to start businenesses but whose businesses wound up failing because they couldn't afford to pay taxes to the US as well as to the country where they moved to without having anything left over for living expenses.

By taking dual citizenship in another country, aren't you now bound to follow that country's laws, including taxation and military service?
