And we're paying for it all. Zero money should be going over there.
It's rather circular...
If the U.S. were to withhold aid, it would trigger the cancellation of defense contracts which means increased unemployment of U.S. defense industry workers and businesses that support them, which leads to increased unemployment and other welfare benefits, which means states have to pay out money they don't have, which means they need to borrow from the federal government who deficit spends to make those loans.
The entire defense industry is totally dependent on federal government spending, including foreign aid. The ripple effect has an enormous impact.
America must be coming in a close second, as being one of the world's most violent places to be on earth.

If Americans misbehaved on Jan. 15, 2013, as they typically do, then there were 30 gun-related murders and 162 people wounded by firearms in the country, based on the most recent figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. On top of that, another 53 people kill themselves with a firearm each day, according to the CDC.
Breaking it down further, three people are killed by a gun per hour and almost seven people are shot every 60 minutes.

they should arm the rebels in Syria that will create more jobs for defense contractors in the good ol war mongering usa...
There is so much more to the story, but don't bother trying to educate yourself. You just have a problem with Muslims in general. The massive show yesterday was about anti-terrorism. Why don't you watch the video and listen to Egyptians (subtitles in English) instead of condemning them.
Military and police are fighting to save their country in the Sinai fighting off over 500 heavily armed extremist rebels from various countries and terrorist organizations who want to enter Egypt and bring their violence to show support for the MB - who are known for their violence. The same organization that Obama supported. The same "rebels" that Obama wants to arm.
I guess you don't know that what is happening is not about religion. It is not Sunni v. sh.ite or Muslim v. Christians. The Christians are out there supporting the anti-Morsi Muslims. It's about democracy. Those who want it, and those who don't want it but want to install extreme Islamic law and have a one party rule over the country.
It amazes me that people who don't even know what is going on in their own country, seem to be far more knowledgeable about what is going on in other countries.

That is odd because when Mubarek was in charge they had control of the sinai as per the agreement with Israel. Put the brudderhood in charge and all hell breaks loose and now they are trying to gain control back. It's almost as if Obama wanted the extremists and terrorists to flow in there. Who woulda thunk it?
