Yet, the rich carry 70% of the tax burden.

Where you stand on the subject of how much socialism society needs usually depends on whether or not you are productive.

The more dependent you are on socialism the more you support taking what your neighbor has earned and the stronger your feeling you are entitled to a share.

If you are self sufficient you tend to support the idea of the free market as the major vehicle for social transactions. You are willing to pay for anything you cannot produce yourself.

I have never met anyone who had actually worked for what they had with such an affliction.
Now if you work for the government I can see how that could be a problem.

1) We can't trust out Gov't now, why would we want more intrusion, which is what socialism would be bring.
2) Yes, the middle class has shrunk, but according to the IRS figures, the LOWER class has been between 12% and 16% since the 1960s. Since the lower class has been relatively stable, the shrinking MIDDLE class has to be moving up. That's the only place for them TO go.

I don't think they were arguing against taxes.

They were arguing against the government taking from one citizen and directly giving your dollars to another.

Purely unconstitutional.

What about the recipient class who get free housing, free medical, free education, free utilities, etc.....?

********* for lumping me in with a bunch of people who pay nothing while I bust my as 6-7 days a week and pay tens of thousands of dollars PLUS sales tax, property tax and every other damn tax that comes down the pike.

I'm am shocked by the sheer stupidety of this comment.
