that's one point I agree with.

several thoughts come to mind (although I refuse to watch the video)-

1) it is the duty of a government to protect its citizens, and since these people were dumb enough to film their atrocities they shouldn't be hard to catch, try, and adequately punish. If people want to watch something, watch that.

2) the one issue I don't get at all is what kind of disturbed mothers would expose their children to this barbarism, and how the hell do you fix that?

3)I would evacuate the christians until the situation is under control-if they aren't there, they can't hurt them.

seriously, I don't want to see one american soldier killed over any of this-the funding needs to be cut off so it doesn't add more fuel to the fire------and eventually all fires burn out.

again, for the 1000th time, we need to become more energy independent, and we have the ability, IF NOT THE WILL, to do it. If our congress wants to actually fix anything, they can start there-and forget the rest until that is done.

The fanatics will probably not change, but people aren't born fanatics. They have to be indoctrinated. Muslims as a whole can change over time if the spread of the radical strains is limited. 30 years ago we didn't have the intense terrorist problem we have today, and 30 years from now it might be over.

What's happening in Egypt is encouraging as far as that goes. When Morsi started to radicalize the country, the military stepped in and removed him from power. And while the Brotherhood is rioting and protesting, there are also anti-Brotherhood protests too. It's a terrible situation in human terms for all the death and suffering that is going on, but in strategic terms it is a good sign that there are moderate Muslims out there who are willing to fight against extremists.
