A House Republican pushing for a 20-week nationwide ban on abortions said Wednesday that the incidence of pregnancies resulting from rape is “very low” — then scrambled to clarify his comment after it went viral with comparisons to former GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin.
“The incidence of rape resulting in pregnancy are very low,” said Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) as the House Judiciary Committee debated his bill to ban abortions nationwide after 20 weeks including in cases of rape and incest.
I see nothing wrong with this comment. Most if not all women are on the pill AND a women can only get pregnant at a certain time of the month.
Please provide some credible information on this comment.
Women can get pregnant at any time, they are more likely to get pregnant at certain times, but it's not a hard and fast rule.
Another man who thinks he knows everything about women, but is sorely wrong.

What's "dumb" is the Democrat Party's insistence on aborting as many unborn babies as possible. The ghouls on the left are disgusting.
Emotional diatribes are ridiculous.
They're not unborn babies, they're POTENTIAL babies, if they're born..
You know that, and your ridiculous pandering is not working.
When you can get pregnant, you can have input.

What's really dumb is the GOP's insistence of not giving a rat's ass about born American babies while being all too ready to fight for other people in other countries.

They are unborn babies. Science is proving the abortion industry wrong. We can see that "fetuses" are in fact human beings while in the womb.
Rape accounts for a tiny percentage of abortions. The vast majority of abortions occur because selfish women don't exercise their ability to choose before getting pregnant, and don't want to deal with the consequences of their decisions.
There is no difference between having an abortion and killing a one month old baby by holding a pillow over it's head. Actually, there is a difference - suffocating the one month old is more humane than vacuuming off the fetus' arms and legs to kill it, which is something the pro-abortion ghouls on the left cheer for.

Less than 5% of all pregnancies are from rape-so he's right...

Wow, more shots at rape victims. What can you even say about people anymore?
To build on another point, why are conservatives to against abortion if they don't want take care of the babies once they are here? They are all for cutting welfare programs, much I which allows kids to eat.
It sort of says that you can't kill an undeveloped fetus, but once it is born, we want to screw that deadbeat. It's a lack of logic.

Another pro-abortion who doesn't want to talk about his support for slaughtering unborn children. Wonder why?

At what age?
What a moronic statement.
It's none of your business, absolutely none, what a woman chooses to do with her body.
Tell me, oh savior of the unwanted, how many have you adopted?
Do you support welfare, abused and unwanted kids?
Your comments are absolutely ridiculous.
I suggest that you read something that is actual science and take it from there.
You're now stating that no one other than those on the left have ever had an abortion.
Now you're looking just silly or purposely dense.

Whose slaughtering little children?
Could you be confused with the catholic pedophiles?
Why don't you answer my questions to provide support for your statements?
Or is it all emotional without facts?
