Personally, as a male, i don't want to have a woman in the restroom due to the issues of safety for the woman.
I'll throw out a hypothetical. What if that same man would of harmed any of the women in any way? The store would've been liable and possibly be slapped with a lawsuit for neglect. With that, the store made the right decision although the man will likely lawyer-up soon.
