Vote to uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The Statement of Purpose from the Bill read: To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

We came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations. The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S., and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.

This has already been argued to death repeatedly.

UN treaties cannot supersede the constitution and Bill of Rights.

This has been shown so many times we are getting past willful ignorance, or intentional blindness, and getting to the point of delusional madness. How many times must people lie to themselves to inject fear and paranoia in their lives?

Why was it even considered and why did Obama and Democrats support it? So what is to stop an changes within the US?

Unbelievably feeble-minded to call people who support sensible gun reforms "traitors".

Correct. However, the existence of a ratified treaty (which this is not, thus far), can and does influence a nation's legislators and courts in one direction or the other. Particularly if it is a treaty that has had a lot of political prestige invested into it.
