Former US President Carter: Venezuelan Electoral System

The United States has the worst due to the influence of too much money influence. He's not far off the mark. I'll bet that Venez voters don't have to stand in line for hours to
vote as witnessed in florida and ohio this past november.

Those that vote, do not elected officials into office. It is those counting the votes, that do.
Or have you not noticed, we have a Progressive political system.

Are you serious?

Venezuela had:

Tanks in the Street during the election

Literally a state controlled media that fed non-stop Chavez propaganda

Literally a regime controlled election board that shutdown instantly claims of voter fraud

Chavez buying votes

Exit polls suggesting massive voter fraud in favor of Chavez -- he did about 10% better than the exit polls that has him losing

And you want to go on record that Carter is close to the mark on Venezuela being the best at elections in the world? Carter has sadly lost his mind.

You forgot: Opposition candidates were limited to three minutes per day on TV. Jimmy Carter is a dolt.

Carter is a big Daniel Ortega fan, too. When Violetta Chamorro beat him in a fair election Carter was despondent.

Venezuela had around an 80% voter turnout compared to the anemic 50% voter turnout in the last election.

I'm all in when it comes to the technology!

If the op had bothered to check would have notice an I.D. AND fingerprint were required to vote (and thumb ink for good measure after voting).
