Our election system is too long, too tiresome and costs too much money but it's the best around, so far. Does Carter want us to become like Venezuela?

Leave it to Carter to declare a country without freedom of the press has the best election system in the world.

Ortega is also a hero.

Oh wait, didn't Reagan try to have him murdered?

yes he did, along with his crooked stooge Oliver North - those 2 should have been put in jail!

I think that was the point Carter was making, but it's just so convenient to overlook that just to make a statement about Carter. Of course this kind of system wouldn't go over well because it would be invasion of privacy, government interference, or whatever excuse people would use so as not to implement such a system and have a system that would be more honest than the one in place. What we do know is that our system is corrupt with people voting multiple times and illegals voting. Can only wonder what we don't know.

Venezuela has developed a fully automated touch-screen voting system, which now uses thumbprint recognition technology and prints off a receipt to confirm voters’ choices.

I didn't know Carter or his opinions were relevant to world events.
