No. It's ridiculous that people are discussing the gun issue when they should be discussing the mental health issue. Like it or not, Americans have a constitutional right to own a gun. Here are some facts to keep in mind when discussing so-called gun control:
1. You have a constitutional right to bear arms
2. There are countless tragedies committed without guns (stabbings, beatings, bombings, etc)
3. There are very strict gun control laws already in place where this shooting happened (which I assume prompted this thread)
4. States with strict gun control measures do not have fewer gun-related crimes than states with loose measures
5. Countries that have ban guns (like the UK) have seen an increase in gun crime, yet their citizens became defenseless at the same time. Guns are also essentially illegal in Mexico, a lot of good it does there
Gun control is an easy, knee-jerk reaction to "fix" a problem much deeper than firearms. Gun control only infringes on a constitutional right with zero benefit to the public.
