So, I'll ask this again, should we have NO laws since no law prevents every illegal act 100% of the time? I guess car theft should be legal since its illegality doesn't stop 100% of thieves from stealing cars.

all this is fine and good, but what so many forget: if someone wants a gun and wants to murder one or 101 people they will find a way; if nothing else, it is called Black Market and how much money would be involved if that were the case? Just another way for the crime organizations to make more money.

It is already in numerous states and is more than basic now. Carry permits add another day to the investigation and all it does is add for fees. So adding all a clearance level will do is add more fees to place into someones budget. What we need is more balanced laws from state to state. We already have the Brady Law where some states take it too extreme. Many NE states try to fee you to death to curtail permit requests for citizens and still don't understand that with enough cash in hand a person can get it illegally w/o an issue.
