Drop the news on Friday, people have better things to do over the weekend, on Monday it'll be back to the debt ceiling.

Its called killing the story. Petraeus was pointed out as biting the hand that feeds, and the administration didn't like it. They won, now they've asked him to fall on his sword or be further embarrassed.

Classic Washington move.

We'll find out the real truth about Benghazi in about 8 years.

Nah, nothing to see here. Just coincidence I'm sure.

Generals are politicians. Politicians are liars.

You do the math.

could be. Do you know for sure he is telling the truth? No you don't. Nobody just comes out and admits something when nobody is asking. He was either forced out or wanted out and this gives him an excuse.

In all reality its a blip on the radar of national security. It was failed intelligence, failed security, and failed structure in Libya.

Look, the right wing twisted and made up all kinds of crap about it also trying to make it political.

Stir up a **** storm, and then you've got to wait a while for everything to calm down before you see who's covered in it.

Funny stuff.....here is a little stroll down memory lane.....

Quote:
the anti-war liberal advocacy group MoveOn.org published a full-page ad in The New York Times on September 10, 2007 accusing General David H. Petraeus of "cooking the books for the White House". The ad also labeled him "General Betray Us".[1] The organization created the ad in response to Petraeus' Report to Congress on the Situation in Iraq. MoveOn hosted pages on its website about the ad and their reasons behind it from 2007 to June 23, 2010. On June 23, 2010, after President Obama nominated General Petraeus to be the new top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan (taking over the position from retiring General Stanley McCrystal), MoveOn erased these webpages and any reference to them from its website

Funny, funny little fake anti-war types......LMFAO.

So...Petraeus decided to get out in front of the affair issue now, and he will tell the truth about the Libyan mess when the time comes.
Hopefully, he won't be Vince Fostered.
