You forgot to mention the part about there being about 110 Million households, and 46.7 Million receive Food Stamp benefits while 99 Million have cable/satellite.

So, for all you working tax-paying Americans, how do you feel about the fact that you are paying the cable/satellite/internet bills for 46.7 Million households?

Well, ~50% don't pay taxes, so why should they lower themselves to pay their cable/satellite/internet bill?

You might as well pay their rent for them too. Oh, wait, you're already doing that.

Amused...

Actually, the morning news did a "Question of the Morning" and it was, "What would you give up if you had to and what would you keep?

A large number of viewers said they would dump cable TV if it came down to it, financially and many viewers said they would NOT give up internet service.

I would give up cable before the internet. You have Hulu.com, lots of free shows on youtube now, so if push came to shove, many people WILL give up cable, in my humble opinion.

There's no relationship between poverty and crime. Nice attempt at spreading fear though.

Crime is easy to handle anyway. There's nothing in the US Constitution or its Amendments that states that citizenship is permanent, or that it cannot be revoked.

People wanna commit crimes, fine, just revoke their citizenship and deport them.

Uh, then people can cancel their cable/satellite/cell-phone/internet and use the money to buy food, right?

You're going to have "much larger problems" whether you like it or not.

You're going to have college graduates living in multi-generational households with mummy and daddy and grandpa and grandma for decades to come.

And then working people sharing apartments and rental homes with total strangers...in order to make ends meet.

And then here's some single 18-year old high school drop out kid with 2 or 3 kids of her own living in her own personal private residence paid for by the tax payers -- the very same college graduates who are working minimum wage jobs.

People aren't blind you know. They'll start saying, "Hey, wait a minute, I stayed in school, went to college, did everything society expects me to do, and I'm working a minimum wage job and can't afford to live by myself, but someone who told society to go to hell gets an apartment for free."

What's wrong with that picture?

Portending...

Mircea

Who dealing with reality and who's obsessed with political fantasy here?

And why do I have to drink a 40 oz? You think cuz I'm black I drink 40 oz beer? I prefer Coors and Bud Light

"It is what it is" and facts won't change the fact, too many hard working americans, who never thought they would be in this situation. Now find themsevles on food stamps and welfare.

Beleive me, some don't want to be there.

Oh yes thousands abuse the system, yes they do. Ask my cousins and a friends who work in large S.S. offices.

They will tell you the fraud commited by people who try and abuse the system. And they get violent, the little creeps, while they try and lie on their paperwork, and to the S.S. office.

Have heard many many stories, and the length that some will go to, to try and cheat. Is astonishing, what they will do, to try and get something for nothing, very sad, and very capable people who can work.

1) I don't know if your black or not.... why the race card bro?

2) There are many places where someone can live making minimum wage

Why are you defending those who choose to be lazy and not work?

There is a difference between someone who just had a baby or is disabled (who deserve some help) and someone who is just an a hole who feels they ar entitled to something and are ablebodied

Many Demotards defend the latter

Without food stamps keeping up demand how would midwestern food, not alcohol, farmers pay for the new tractor? The Food Stamp program is run by the Department of Agriculture because it is a demand maintainence program and the fact that some people are fed is a secondary benefit.

Why do you think they are called RED states. It is because they are living on government welfare.

Even working 8 a hour you still need food stamps, we can debate Medicaid since I believe only the truly needy need that but food stamps is a must for people living in hard times.... Food stamp fraud had to stop.

And what poor person can just move away and move to a cheaper town? Your broke remember.

Like I said some unemployment benefits pay more than minimum wage jobs.
