I know this story is old, but the American media decided to blackout this information from the people.
The citizens of Iceland peacefully overthrew their government and sent the bankers who destroyed their economy to jail.
Everybody who has a yearning for freedom should check out this link and the comments section below it. Show it to your friends, family, etc.
Iceland set the example. We must raise awareness of this method, and those in this country that still have the revolutionary spirit our founding fathers possessed must at least try to make things better in this country. We are an empire in decline, change doesn't just randomly occur, it takes people who want to make a difference.
Our empire needs to decline for own security and prosperity.
I agree with you 100%, but the problem is that unless the populace begins to give a damn soon, the government will be too powerful to change. Our rights are eroding right before our eyes, but we are too busy watching "Game of Thrones" to notice. People need to get off the couch and onto the internet, the greatest communication tool ever created by man, and spread the message of liberty and freedom. That is time well spent.
What gives you such confidence in the peoples' abilities to self govern?

It doesn't take an entire country to make a change. There were many, many loyalists during the revolution. There were many people opposed to civil rights legislation. Once ideas reach a critical mass of people, anything is possible.

I actually despise the White hipster, pathetic, spoiled brats that make up the OWS movement. Sure, I'm generalizing, but most of those kids are upper-middle class and have an entitlement complex.
I believe in self-sufficiency, freedom to make your own decisions, hard word, personal responsibility, etc.
