Hell, even your Messiah (Barack Obama) has stated that he's disappointed in the outcome. Why? Because it codifies in the state consitution that gay marriage will never be sanctioned by the state of NC. That was the intended affect. Your semantics are downright farcical.

Adam and Eve can marry. But not Adam and Steve. Twist it into whatever makes your mental defenses happy, but that's what this amendment ensures.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! You can't rewrite scripture? What version of the bible do you read? King james threw out junks and added pieces as he pleased. Of course, if there's only one true word then shouldn't there be only one bible?

Oh and when exactly did we become a theocracy? Last time I checked were supposed to be a free country. Hahaha...free my *****! Christians are quick to talk freedom, peace, and rights violations, but yet quick to force their agenda down your throat.

Of course adam and eve will always be able to marry...if they get a liscense from the government...

F###ing idiots!

Marriage is not a "special" or "new" entitlement. Gay couples are asking for equitable treatment under the law. Nothing more, nothing less.

Tell you what. You let us know which benefits you don't yet would like to have and then we will tell you whether or not you deserve them. Sound good?

You're kidding right?

Straight couples get substantially lower tax rates from being married. Benefits for your spouse and children through your workplace. Hospital visitation rights. Financial protections and legally defined procedures for divorce. Child custody rights. And finally, your relationship is legally sanctioned by the government

The right to marry. The right to live your life in a romantic relationship without judgement. The right to know that your spouse can visit you in the hospital, make medical decisions and all the other things that a marriage allows. The right to adopt children if you are infertile.

Oh and President Obama just endorsed Gay Marriage. Take that North Carolina. He needs to pull the DNCC from there. The state should lose all tourism money including the DNCC money.

How in the world does wanting to have the same civil liberties as your fellow citizens equate to being entitled and wanting special favors? And what exactly does the "average straight Joe and Jane" want that they haven't received with regards to marriage rights? You get nothing? Oh, ok. I guess all of those legal "entitlements" that straight married couples receive amount to nothing.

LOL......I said "you can't rewrite the script".....not "you can't rewrite scripture."

I'll give you a free pass on this one.

And put it into the constitution to make it extra vindictive.

You do realize that if gay marriage becomes legalized, you'll get the same special entitlement of being able to marry somebody of the same gender - the exact same special entitlement that a homosexual would have! It just so happens you wouldn't partake in such an arrangement. Just as a homosexual wouldn't (or at least, shouldn't) partake in marrying somebody of the opposite gender.

Funny how that works!
