A CI internment facility runs parallel to an EPW internment facility, with some differences. A CI—

• Is protected under the provisions of the GC.
• Does not meet the criteria for classification as an EPW or an RP.
• Is considered a security risk.
• Needs protection because he committed an offense against the detaining power (insurgents, criminals, or other persons).

What would you like to know about it?

I wrote and edited large portions of that when I was at TRADOC Headquarters in 1984. I believe that was published officially in 1986 when we adopted Soviet Military tactics as part of AirLand Battle 2000.
