The fetal brain develops during the intrauterine period in the male direction through a direct action of testosterone on the developing nerve cells, or in the female direction through the absence of this hormone surge. In this way, our gender identity (the conviction of belonging to the male or female gender) and sexual orientation are programmed or organized into our brain structures when we are still in the womb.
However, since sexual differentiation of the genitals takes place in the first two months of pregnancy and sexual differentiation of the brain starts in the second half of pregnancy, these two processes can be influenced independently, which may result in extreme cases in trans-sexuality. This also means that in the event of ambiguous sex at birth, the degree of masculinization of the genitals may not reflect the degree of masculinization of the brain.
There is no indication that social environment after birth has an effect on gender identity or sexual orientation.
Freud said it almost always arose from parent-child identification problems and that when things go awry, its pretty set by an early age. I think somewhere between 2 and 4.
I think its the latency thing that has most intelligent people concerned about the whole Gay Agenda being promoted with our kids.
"Innate bisexuality (or predisposition to bisexuality) is a term introduced by Sigmund Freud, based on work by his associate Wilhelm Fliess, that expounds that all humans are born bisexual but through psychological development—which includes both external and internal factors—become monosexual, while the bisexuality remains in a latent state."
LOL! Most 'intelligent' people wouldn't be using 100 year old out-dated and long disproven ideas by Freud.
Most 'intelligent' people only refer to Freud in an historical way as does that Wiki paragraph.
Referring to te ideas of an early psychoanalyst like Freud as some kind of expert on this topic, is sort of like referring to the ideas of a 19th century doctor as an expert on neurobiology.
Freud gave us many things...... Give me a while and i'll think of something.
Erm.................. One sec'.............Ahmm...............Sorry, got nothing
I think it starts after birth but at an early age. When people say they were born that way, I think it's more likely the case that they were that way for as long as they can remember which to the individual conflates to birth.
At what age does transgenderness start?
So do you think heterosexuality 'starts after birth but at an early age' too?
They aren't brainwashed. Something is wrong in their brains. Guess they can't help it. I kinda of view them as a different gender really. A gay woman generally looks less like a woman. And a gay man is usually far from a real man.
"Gayness" starts when a person makes the choice to be gay.
Not making the choice to be gay is equivalent to choosing to be heterosexual.
