Really doesn't get any clearer than that.
Authorities? A 911 operator is not authority.... sorry

Also please ponder on this math....

Those who claim Zimmerman pursued and confronted Martin must overcome a mountain of evidence. From the time Zimmerman says "He [Martin] is running" to the 911 operator and exits the truck, the call continues for another 2 minutes. There is an additional minute between the end of the 911 call and the beginning of the confrontation.

During those 3 minutes, a person at a normal walk would move 800 feet. At a brisk walk (5 mph), they would move 1300 feet. Since the confrontation occurred maybe 100 feet from Zimmerman's truck, it's clear that Martin didn't even continue walking away at a slow pace. He either hid nearby or doubled back to confront Zimmerman. But in either case, his GF's affidavit is proven false.

But the location DOES closely match Zimmerman's statement to the police. You can hear him exit the truck and either wind or breathing starting at 2:15 of the 911 call. We can presume he is following Martin (who has a head start) at a brisk pace. After the 911 guy says he they don't need him to follow, you can hear the wind or breathing stop at 2:40. 20-25 seconds at a 8 mph trot moves him 250-300 feet. Returning at a slow walk after the exertion for 1 minute at 2 mph after the 911 call ends puts Zimmerman 70-120 feet from the truck - pretty much where the fight happened.

Zimmerman's police statement is supported by the physical evidence as to location. Martin's GF's is discredited.

I don't know if he will get a fair trail, but the media has set it up so that if Zimmerman is never charged or found Not Guilty, there will be more race-riots and animousity. The media has willfully jumped the gun on this and is now trying to back-pedal (to appear impartial or to cover their collective butts). From the get-go they showed Zimmerman in the orange jail-jump suit (which says "Guilty" or "Criminal") and they showed Trayvon's 12 year old picture. They deliberately portrayed this as a grown man shooting a child. Now that the media has found out that Trayvon is 6 foot 3 and Zimmerman is 5 foot 7 and pudgy (not very menacing looking I guess) and that Trayvon was found with womens jewelry (including wedding bands) and a flat-tip screw-driver (at school), it paints a different picture. There is now evidence that Trayvon may actually be a thief and Zimmerman's intuition was correct. Zimmerman may still be guilty, but it doesn't change the fact that the media's handling of this has incited racial hatred, assumption of guilt, and mob "justice" that circumvents the laws of the land and the Constitution. No matter what the outcome, we have all jumped the gun and there is no justice in that. This will not end pretty either way. It never does when we react before all the facts are in.

I wish, I'm not a stay at home 28 year old with mommy and daddy that can do neighborhood patrol since I am doing apparently nothing with my life.

Right, we should believe the killer only and the inept police department.

OMG young kid smoked weed, end of the world!

You don't have to listen to police either depending on the instruction.

To a pulp? Seriously? A bloody nose and some head lacerations is not "to a pulp".

A and B indicate the fact this nation has a serious race issue.

The shooting in and of itself, not so much.
When hordes of race baiters come out and play their usual games per Duke lacrosse, Tawney Brawley, etc then rational people feel compelled to answer. So the fact that Zimmerman has people defending him from getting railroaded isn't bizarre.

The fact that he wasn't taken into custody while they investigated is pretty strange, though.

There is, however, no reason to suspect any racism involved. The victim was black, and the shooter was recorded using the word "They"? Therefore it's racism? Sorry but that wouldn't pass Logic 101.

Know what, you are so dang politically correct. Where the hell is the news on this story. Why haven't we head about this. This is just as bad.

No matter who is doing these sorts of acts, should be told by the media. But by this time we all know why, this one has not made it to the big stage. Wrong color victim. This is starting to get sick.
The media it appears picks and chooses what storys will be aired, but in any case where this is something like this story happening, to any child, or teen of any color, is so wrong, not to tell the story.
Sometimes i think the media is at fault for the racisim still going on strong.

My error, but the entry wound will in the autopsy. If Zimmerman was far enough away from Trayvon when he shot him to use the gun as a threat as opposed killing him with it, that does not bode well for Zimmerman.

So the father's finacee lives there? Someone lived there who he was visiting. The school suspensions have nothing to do with this shooting.

Really doesn't get any clearer than that.

He was told to stop by a dispatcher, which isn't an order. The dispatcher also does not know the severity of the situation, so I don't know how much it matters what they say. What the dispatcher says is merely a recommendation, which in hindsight he should have listened to but didn't.

I don't think that makes the self-defense claim not valid.
