So... What's the likelihood that truth and justice has a chance of prevailing?
I say not likely and I blame it on the police. Had they done a through investigation, documented things properly, they would have eliminated a lot of speculation. I have a feeling Zimmerman will be brought up on charges to satisfy the public masses. Then Central FL will again become the center of a courtroom zoo costing the tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars so attorney's can grandstand, make names for themselves and then write books based on the trial.
Nope. You're just as likely (if not more) than those you accuse of to "use" this. In fact, you already have. If you didn't, you would have given some credence to a post that suggests maturity and importance of understanding the situation before jumping to conclusions.
What if the idea is really to stop abuse of name? Or, that is impossible? Is it?
Anything is possible. Yes indeed. Including writing books, selling gifts, and otherwise collecting on the death of their son. In the business world, this is considered a prudent move. Can you figure out why?????$$$$$$$$$$
Let me guess: The moment family representatives come out and say "it was necessary to protect Trayvon's memory".....you'll lap it up like like a good minion of the press.
...Fact 5) He confronts Treyvon to question him and/or detain him until police arrive - confronting him and asking him questions is not illegal - detaining him and holding him when no crime has been committed is illegal. THIS IS WHERE WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. As such there is no proof of criminal activity on Zimmereman's part to this point.
Has it been verified that Zimmerman actually confronted Martin? IMO that is one of the key aspects of the case. If was simply following Martin and reporting his position to the police, he was (IMO) within his rights. If he laid hands on him, he initiated the use of physical force, and there is (again, IMO) no valid claim of self defense. If he confronted him verbally and Martin attacked him, I would think the law is on his side, but the situation becomes less clear.
As you said, we simply don't know what exactly what happened.
Maybe if it is said enough times, you will finally get it. Trayvon had no drugs or alcohol in his system. He was drug tested after his death.
Repeat after me--Trayvon had no drugs or alcohol in his system.
Some of the comments by those who are happy to see Trayvon shot to death are amazing to me.
