Let's warp back in time to, let's say, 2004 or 2008. Had someone put W's face on a flag like that, the libs would've gone into convulsions. Either that or Bill Maher would've called a conservative woman a c**t. LOL

I recall then President Bush autographing an American flag as well as Sarah Palin when she was running for VP.

Where was the outrage from the Right?

Was Obama there to put the flag up personally?
No but I would be more than happy to express my first amendment right and help them burn it.

I'd hardly call that an outrage, and the lady in charge took it down as soon as she saw they were right.
End of story.
What was done was an outrage, the number of people complaining have nothing to do with the desecrated flag.
His likeness belongs in the urinal as a target, not on an American flag.

I agree with the title of the thread ...
American flag with President Obama's image sparks outrage

Don't you think this flag was intended to spark outrage?

This was the goal ...

Just like the contraceptive mandate for Catholics ... again ... just intended to spark outrage ...

If you look at other event over the past year ... same deal ...

What is wrong with putting the king's picture on his flag. His likeness should be on the currency and Mount Rushmore too. I bet many on this site would have no problem with this.

As it should be.

[with or without Obama's image on it]

End of story.
Anybody who knows so little flag etiquette as to do that should get a chance to spend some time in the slammer. End of story.

Well, the Flag Code is advisory. It isn't legally-binding. You can't arrest people for flag code violations.
