Way to go Obama !!! No wonder this Adminstration is so clueless!!!
That's allright, the Democratic sheeple will always believe the "feel good" economy is improving BS stories that come out every other week !!!
Immelt is a republican, and him and GE corporate board and directors have always been tied to the republican party. Anything the company does, is first in the interest of the GE group of companies board and directors, no matter who is the US president.
Immelt was groomed (and selected) by former GE head, Jack Welsh (aka Neutron Jack), who was always in close contact to former President Reagan. Welsh was a firm believer that you either had to be #1 or #2 in a industry, or you should get out of the industry. Each year he would fire a percentage of the workforce, not because of bad performance, but to make those not fired work harder.

Times are different now and the Dem party today is not what existed back in the Reagan era. The Dems have found that big business can be good to them financially.
If you can get an administration to pass favorable laws for you do you really care about the "party" ? No, you only care what you can get out of them.
To think GE is "Republican" is outdated. GE is going to back whoever is going to come into power just like the other corporates are doing.
The lines between D and R have blurred over the years and big business doesn't care which party gets into office anymore because they now have both in their back pockets.

GE and their board, still pushes $$$ to republicans, and only to democrats, when it serves their corporate interest, not for any love toward the democrat party or ideas. The are like wall street......it's all about the money, their money. They are the 'Job Creators' and they don't want anybody to take their money - not the government, and not the people who actually do the work.
GE does what is good for GE.
That's free market at work.
A handful for US jobs are going to China......a few managers from the US office.
No US jobs are lost.
China is moving from a film based x-ray system to digital, so better it be GE getting the business (since most machines are now digital here), then a French or Germany company?
GE has long placed high hopes on China, in 2007 calling it the company's "second home market."
The senior leadership team's move to Beijing is aimed in part at helping develop more medical equipment specifically for the Chinese market.
