I don't like that anymore than you do. However, it is unrealistic to think anyone is going to embargo them. In any case, were the House of Saud to fall, the replacement would most likely be worse.

Yes. We should have no say in who those people choose to put in power. Did we not learn that from Iran? Or, do you feel the French should have pushed their way of governance in the new USA as opposed to letting the people of the land decide what was best for them?

The ONLY reason those young, moderate protesters weren't massacred in numbers as they are were in Libya, and currently are in Syria, was because we stepped in and talked Mubarak down from using more force. Once it was evident that Mubarak had lost the favor of the military there was no choice but to call for him to leave. The Egyptian Army then used the calls to "protect the protesters" and restore order as an opportunity to basically stage a coup. The young liberals started the movement, it was used by the military to install new leadership, and then dismissed by the more conservative voting majority of citizens.

The western support of these brutal dictators has done more to radicalize the Islamist opposition than anything. Our past meddling in the name of sort term security has come back to bite us.

We INTERFERED in a civil war in Libya. WE took over from the rebels and won the fight FOR THEM.

Can't believe you don't KNOW this.

Turns out obama was absolutely WRONG....again.

Turns out WE were right...again.

barack hussein obama - the president who lost a moderate ME by giving it to the most radical segments of islam.
Sooooo.....

What were we supposed to do? Go in and shoot the Egyptian rioters in the streets to preserve Mubarak's presidency?

You should mind your business, and let the Egyptians worry about their own country.

So did France in American Revolution. Would you have preferred that the French controlled the way government was formed in the new country (USA)? Or, we got it right that the people of the land decided what they want for their new nation?

THIS cannot be repeated enough. The extreme- extremists in Saudi Arabia would love nothing more than to see a region-wide holy war. And they would be too happy to get it started.

Whatever. We did not create Saudi Arabia. Their rule is sustained by largesse and bribes to their people. If a Juan Carlos should emerge there, I will be first to applaud him.

Now only if Americans would learn to keep their "governance" at home.
