Perhaps Palin isn't an idiot - but apparently her supporters are.

Guess when you can't stick to the facts about Palin, that are true........it's time to attack people who stick up for her doing the same thing those on the left have done. She has the right to conduct her life be political or personal the way she chooses.

Since she quit being a governor and she's out of the picture, those law suits that others brought against her, are not so important now.

What's even more apparent is the interest anti-Palin people have in threads started about her.

Oh God not this again! Don't cons realize how stupid they sound

There are two versions of these "death panels" Both of which exist and both of which are NOT death panels. They've both existed long before Obama

One is that end of life thing where you decide what you want to happen. Resuscitate or not, life support or not, who gets power of attorney, etc. And no, that doesn't include somebody saying "Ya know, you're kinda old. maybe you should just end it all

The second one is when you file a claim which your insurance may or may NOT cover

because the “ethics panel” that assesses your unithood will have no problem inventing a equation that goes something like, “Potential-Tax-revenues-minus-potential-cost-divided-by-social-and-political-value-equals

Huh?? Is that a fancy way of saying that they'll try to find some way of denying the coverage so they don't have to pay for it? Do you know who does that every day and has been doing it every day for a long long time? Private insurance companies

While waiting for the insurance company to cough up the product that was paid for ,

the patient dies.

100% PLANNED by the insurance company...

THAT is a Death Panel.

( and the insurance employee who saved the company he money gets a pat on the back, probably a bonus and trots off to church every Sunday..a murderer)

End of life counseling is NOT a death panel.

It might be to REALLY STUPID people but not to normal people.

We agree.

Republicans PREFER that people die so the Insurance industry makes more money rather than have UHC which would eliminate the roullette wheel of insurance coverage.

If this "HealthCare Obama Plan" is run by the government, just how well do you believe it will work.
The government runs, Pension paid jobs, Social Security, Welfare, & the United States Post Office, who's about to go broke.

How's that working for us????

NO.... i was talking about a inpatient who arrested in the Hosptal ward. My Father had been admitted with Heart Failure and was recieving tests when he arrested.

After a heart attack has been managed and the patient is stabalised it is no longer classed as a Emergency. In the USA if a patient is admitted into the ER and is stabalised, the next step is discharge..... NOT heart surgery. If the patient is over the emergency in a ER and has NO insurance, they are "cut loose" to make way for "paying clients".

Also, I do believe that in an emergency, if UHC does make it fully integrated into the U.S., I also believe that a full blown emergency like that would be handled just like that...Well guess what....it is....

NO IT ISN'T!
In the USA if a patient has a heart attack they are given emergency treatment only in the ER. The insurance company (if they are insured) decides if it will fund treatment.............. a death panel in other words.
The Insurance company also then decides whether it is going to raise your premiums or drop you........... when you need them the most after paying many many premiums.

However...what about a stage 2 cancer diagnosed at age 60...show me some stats of something like that in your country....
My Mother was over 60 when she had cervical cancer. She was admitted to our nearest teaching hospital and treated by one of the top cancer specialists in the country..... she was stage 3 and they saved her life

As you have absolutely NO experience with any kind of UHC, i can quite understand how you cannot compare the extremely bad health system in the USA and the extremely good National Health Systems in probably the rest of the Industrialised world. Australians were just like the USA.... the Doctors and insurance companies fought hard and lied, lied, lied to stop a National Health System. The PM said enough is enough and implemented one and most Australians love it.
America must stop being brainwashed that the criminally bad health system in the USA should continue........... It is far past it's sell by date and is only now supported by the greedy, corrupt and elitists....... Get into 2012, STOP pandering to the Insurance companies, Stop spending our tax Dollars on reforming Iraq's health system and think of America instead of partisan politics.

Healthcare in the USA is already rationed, Try getting a Health Insurance plan that you can afford if you have had Cancer or you have diabetes or asthma or are 60 years of age or even obese.
In the USA if you are old you are far too much of a risk for the insurance companies........... if you are 60 years of age under a UHC, you are treated exactly the same as a 30 year old...... this is a FACT and having people who have NEVER used a UHC on here telling everyone how it works is laughable as they are just quoting right wing, desperate nut jobs who haven't a clue about healthcare.
