There are means for dealing with this problem that don't involve resurrecting Hitler.

And again, I request you to use nuanced thinking. It was implied in my post but you missed the entire point, preferring instead to go for the kill. And that's cool too, I guess. If you get the kill, you help reduce population.

Arrggghhh!!!! Does anyone understand demographics? Russia is in trouble, as is much of Europe, due to an inverted age pyramid. This is a huge problem for ANY society. You can frame this as "Fascist" if you want but would you say the same thing if it were about a shortage of children in Namibia? No, of course you wouldn't. Russia needs children. Or, to put it more accurately, they need responsible parents who aren't stumbling around sauced-up on vodka and they need a lot of Prozac. Something about being under the thumb of the Tsars and then the Communist Party seems to have sucked the life out of most of the nation. Of course they need children! But someone has to take care of those children or they'll just get adopted by Americans and western Europeans...
Don't worry Harvester, we get it but anytime there is mass propaganda to a group that can also lead to a mentality groomed to submit to other suggestions.

LOL, very true... Thanks, it's a good reminder that I need to choose my words wisely.

And I don't even know your political point of view, so I'm agreeing with you regardless of anything to do with partisan politics. There are many groups with many viewpoints and each is groomed to submit to a specific set of suggestions, as you've so successfully suggested to me.... hey, wait a minute, am I being duped into some kind of cult you're creating?

That's not my point; I wasn't discussing the population and whether or not they need to reproduce. I was addressing the political ideology reminiscent of some very bad times for the world.

Gotcha. I'm so confused by the various trains of thought in this thread, I think I'll just stare at that watch that citigirl is waving in front of me and go into a trance... after all, my former name here was Deeptrance, it's only fitting I should go into one.
