Whether she called directly for political assassination or not is irrelevant. The whole "hit list" fiasco was a poor decision on her behalf, as we all know that there are extremists on both sides who take words to heart. Has right wing rhetoric has gone too far? Palin's "hit list", Sharron Angle's "second amendment remedies", people showing up outside Obama's town hall meetings with semi-automatic weapons... That's up to each individual to decide I guess.
Give me a break. Every sane person took the hit list to mean exactly what it was meant to mean. We need to vote these listed people out of office.

I propose renaming the Health Reform Law the "Giffords Affordable Care Act" in honor of Rep. Giffords who voted for it (whether she lives or dies). That way, when the Republicans attempt to repeal it, everyone will be reminded of Gifford's heroic act of sacrificing herself (through her vote) in behalf of the nation.
Yep, that's the important thing right now -- the political angle.
Give me a break. Every sane person took the hit list to mean exactly what it was meant to mean.
You hit the nail on the head when you said "sane person". It only takes ONE insane person to take that list and twist its meaning. Remember that.
