You may be correct. I really don't know.

I do know that although I am a liberal I always try to listen to 'the other side' & I do not always agree with other liberals.

There are so many variations of conservative/liberal that its really not fair to group individuals together & expect them to all act & believe in the same things.

The Definition does mean center or left of center politically; however, again you are probably using leftist to mean communist. Based on your previous post that is my assumption. I am certain that a few liberals in the U.S. are communist. You can be a liberal and be a communist in the U.S., but just because you are liberal does not make you a communist.

If you live in Russia and you are liberal you could be pro capitalist, A conservative would mean you are a die hard communist...or resisting change.

Disagreeing with someone does not make a person intolerant.

Really? I think hypocrisy is something that ALL humans have the potential of being guilty of no matter what their political party.

Read through some of the threads & you will see intolerance from both sides.

Liberal=take from the working and give to the lazy

Seriously-A Liberal is someone who believes that money should be distributed more evenly and government should be more involved in terms of taking care of people that are less fortunate-I guess that is my definition-I'll have to think about this....

What are you talking about? You're describing the average republican. Republicans want all the services government provides but without having to pay for them. Liberals want government services that effectively promote the general Welfare and are willing to pay for them.

I think that is fairly close, but they also believe in greater protection of individual freedoms, especially those in the constitution, which makes them more aligned to libertarians on individual freedoms issues.
