Someone should have taken parenting classes in high school.

Quote:
A 22-year-old mother from Jacksonville, Florida, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for shaking her 3-month-old son to death after his crying interrupted her FarmVille game.

The mother, Alexandra V. Tobias, was arrested in January and declared her plea on Wednesday before Circuit Judge Adrian G. Soud, The Florida Times-Union reports.

MOD CUT.

"FarmVille" Interruption Cited in Baby's Murder

Someone should not have had a baby to begin with. If you can not set aside a game, any game for your personal responsibilities, then you should never take those responsibilities upon yourself to begin with.

Think about the last time you went to the grocery store, the mall, the park, where ever. How many children did you see who were completely out of control? How many of them were completely out of control right in front of their parents? We really need to start taking action of some sort (and no, I don't have a solution other than smacking the parents upside the head) to stop children from being raised just slightly better than animals. At least my dog obeys me when I tell him to do something.

If farmiVille was so much more important then this young women's baby, she never should of ever bed down with the loser boyfriend. This is such a sad story, and sickening at the same time. These young girls who think they can just pop babies out, and them discard them for a game, or what becomes more important then the baby themself, should never be having sex period.
Her priority surely was not that beautiful innocent baby, i feel so sad for the baby, and would like to wrap my hands around the Mother's Neck! There was no excuse at all that can be given, when she took a cigarette break, then came back in and resumed shaking the baby.

The mother should have her head clamped in one of those machines the stores use to shake paint cans.

I was reading about this yesterday- truly sad.
I guess the 'smoking a cigarette to regain one's composure' bit didn't work.

Even though I think Farmville is pretty mindless and pointless (maybe that's the allure, who knows), this woman was obviously an unfit mother. If it hadn't been Farmville it would have been something else.

Is it time to talk about forced sterilization?

Here in Orlando a burglar discovered a 14 month old alone because the mother wanted to go to Universals Halloween Horror night.... She left the infant unattended. it is a shame when a burglar shows more responsibility than a parent. again... why isn't there mandatory sterilization?

Who decides...some bureaucrat?

Face it, with 300 million people in America this stuff is going to happen despite anyone's best efforts and empowering government even further to play God is a big mistake.
Eugenics anyone?
