Liberals don't care about Christians being under attack, they're obsessed with 'Islamophobia' inventions. In fact, they'd be more than happy to help their Muslim brethen attack and kill innocent people, especially non-violent Christians, that's how much they 'tolerate' others who aren't like them.

Does Egypt bomb blast signal rising 'Christianophobia?'
Mollie Hemingway, over at Get Religion, the media critique site that tracks how faith is covered -- or not covered -- in mainstream media, looks at coverage of Christians under fire and finds ...

a comprehensive report of violence against Christians throughout Muslim-dominant countries in Le Figaro, a conservative French paper. If you don't read French, Google translate does a pretty good moving it into English here.

This handy map shows where the state forbids the practice of Christianity (red) and where violence against Christians is endemic (orange).

More lunacy from the media-

Conclusive evidence that Chris Matthews is nuts: He says Newt Gingrich uses subliminal "Christian hand gestures."

Cool story, bro. No one was disputing that Christians are persecuted in various parts of the world for their beliefs. They are, so are Muslims, Jews, Atheists, etc. What we're disputing is whether Christians are under persecution in America. Which they are OBVIOUSLY NOT. Christians around the world DIE for their beliefs, they get murdered. American Christians are such babies but that if a quasi-religious politician gets called out by the media for his hypocritical BULL****, suddenly Christians are under nationwide persecution. All I, and the rest of us non-religious ask, is that you save your martyr mentality and persecution complex for the church potluck where maybe someone cares.

Bringing up ancient history doesnt help your argument. If it isn't happening in this century forget it. If there are some recent African wars state what they are why Christians are behind them. It's mainly other religions that seem to be involved with major atrocities these days.

Even I as an Agnostic I realize the greatness of this country is partly because of its base in Christian ideals; Giving to the poor, helping your neighbor, Golden rule..etc. And the less desireable historical attributes are fading into the past. If we were Athiest we would be in the same state as the Soviet Union and if we were Muslim we we be like the middle East. We are not...Thank God . The news media does treat other religions with more repect than Christianity.

Those aren't unique to Christianity though. We did not become powerful because of Christian ideals. We became powerful because of cheap labor (slaves), abundant resources, a good lineage (we were a settler colony like New Zealand, Canada, Australia...even Argentina and Chile are better off than most since they were settler colonies), and expansion (our genocidal past). It def. was not Christianity that created American greatness.

The USSR fell not because of atheism, but rather poor public and economic policies. The Middle East is the way it is due to a colonial history, and a lack of good public policies in how to spend oil wealth.

In fact, the best nations to live in the world are atheist (Scandinavian nations are very atheist with the world's highest standard of living and quality of life).

No the issue becomes that atheists & Liberals look at religion whether it be Muslims or Christians or Jews as antiquated. There is nothing logical about religion and all of it's falsehoods.

I person is either saved or they're not.
The light switch is either on or it's off.
Sounds quite logical to me.

If we became powerful because of slavery we should should have went down the tubes post-slavery and we did not. Abundant resources, Yes, but so does Mexico and most of SA, another colonized country and look at them. And I did not say Christianity created American greatness I said that Christian Ideals "partly" contributed to our greatness.

If you are saying we would have the same results with a group of Muslims, Marxist or Athiest founding this country you would be wrong; We would not have the current Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and any other governing document; they all have a religous and specifically Christian slant. You can't separate the religous background of our founding fathers and say it had no affect on the way they thought. It was a major part of who they were, all you have to do is look at theyre writings.
