That conclusion I drew form the quote made by the mother of the unemployed 39 yr old.

I understand she is voting Republican out of frustration but she did state:

"The Democratic Party isn't what it used to be for us," she said. "The philosophy used to be if the Democratic Party was in power everybody got a piece of the pie, and if the Republicans were in power the rich got a piece of the pie. Now, nobody is getting a piece of the pie."

The most bothersome facet of this situation is she (among the rest of voters) do not see a viable alternative. That is due to the power the politcal parties harnessed over time.

But she´s working class, not middle class. Though either way, she doesn´t seem to understand that this is an exceptional experience we´re all going through.

The middle class is the working class. Also the ones paying the taxes.

In a time of frustration, it's not surprising that voters do this. Don't fool yourself into thinking that people suddenly love Republicans. They don't. They're just voting for "the other guys" out of frustration, just like they did in '06 and '08.
No, the Republican RINOs are not loved and no one except you is suggesting that they are. The Delaware primary pretty well proved that RINOs have to go. Too bad they didn't fire McCain down in AZ too.

You and the RINOs don't seem to "get it" that the Consevatives are in the process of reclaiming the GOP.
