ALL AUTO SALES WERE DOWN (Ford too) for the month.

How much was Ford's down?

...and how much have GM's sales fallen since they went belly up?

Ford was down 5.2% (by the article)
Chrysler show a increase (mainly from fleet rental vehicles)

The decline in GM was the first decline of the year. (did you post about the increases? no, why not?)

But July/August is usually the slow peroid for auto sales, except fleet/government sales.

Last year, the sales number was inflated by the C4C program.

GM
Aug 2009 - 245,550
Aug 2010 - 185,105

2009 (8 months) - 1,381,224
2010 (8 months) - 1,462,308

GM up 8% for the year.

High unemployment = continued depressed sales.
Low wages = continued depressed sales.

Do sales in July/August usually fall 20-30%?

Why didn't I? I dunno...I guess I was too busy posting the many billions that GM has been losing since the bailout.

LMAO

Things will get better when they take our tax money and get that brand new plant built in Mexico.

Things are looking up!! Give it time.

Is this one of those unexpected moments or was they only expecting 20% or they saved it from getting to 30%.
