the government so far has spent over 3 trillion dollars in bailouts and stimuluses...and we have gotten NOTHING, for it
Of course you didn't. The bailouts weren't meant for you. Meanwhile, the stock market is back up and the shareholders have recovered their losses during the "downsizing" that's been going on for the last 2 years. It's a success!

Yes, that's the meme from the administration, the dems, the Left and the lap dog media. Unfortunately, there is NO evidence to determine how worse OR better things would have been without the stimulus.

There are many that say taking $1 TRILLION plus OUT of the private sector, that implementing another $2.5 Trillion entitlement program and raising taxes for everyone is hurting the recovery.

Sorry, but that is a very bogus, spin and brainwashing bunch of crap the BO Admin and Dems want everyone to believe. Nope, if we had cut taxes, done no bailouts or so-called stimulus, the natural laws of economic rebuilding would have taken off at warp speed and we would have a fast-growing economy by now.

BO and crew have done nothing but pull us down, down, down! Both are a perfect example of Sol Alinsky brainwashing at work!

What the government should have done was to "STOP" Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae from backing loans to people who could not repay them, the banks that were forced (by Atty. Obama and those Community Organizer legal eagles) to make to people they KNEW could not repay them.

Then, BECAUSE the "lenders" were forced to make bad loans, they bundled them and got rid of them, which was for their own protection.

All this is what should have had the government come in and shut down the crap. Then none of this meltdown would have occurred in the first place.

Remember, President Bush asked Congress at least 3 times to clean up the mess before it caused the problems it did. Congress was warned, but refused to act. Also remember that the Republicans while technically having a majority for the first 6 years of the Bush Adm., they only had a 1-seat majority in the Senate which created the Dems being able to block everything they wanted to, since it takes 60 votes (10 more than the Republicans had) to stop a fillabuster.

Put it into proper perspective! The government "could" have stopped this mess if the Dems had not blocked the cleanup, even with the handicap of BO and his fellow attorneys forcing something this is ludicrous to start with.

The corporate tax is too much high, all economists are agree with that (35% ! ), a lower corporate tax (25%) would have been much more efficient

But they did cut taxes. The stimulus package contained largest tax break in US history.

He asked for Congress to surrender the regulation of such institutions to the White House. You really think they were just going to hand it over? LOL. As for lending standards, Bush lowered the standards some 40 times to make sure every poor American would qualify for a loan with no money down. So, no he didn't ask them to clean it up, he gave them free hands to do whatevery they wanted.

TEMPORARY tax breaks, it's the problem. That can't be efficient when it's temporary.
