Allowing someone to drill in your back yard, doesn't make you responsible for the cleanup or the mess to begin with. Put the blame squarely on the shoulders on the gas Co's. The govn't is responsible for enforcing the regulations that are in place and this is where they can be responsible for their share of the blame.

if you're willing to do some legwork, you can run your own fact check, based on the link I provided...if you find some inaccuracies, by all means, expose them!
I am not experienced enough to run a check on the info provided, nor do I have the time. But I am sure there are people who are. Gasland was created by someone who has nothing to gain in all of this. So whats your point?

Propaganda, nothing else.
PBS is mostly funded by individual contributers and corporations. Nice try.

the "clean up and mess" is stated clearly in every Oil and Gas Lease...you're correct, the Oil and Gas Companies are responsible for the clean up, and they do so very well...this is all stated up front and before any drilling takes place.

So you tell them where to drill in your backyard and never tell them how.

Your backyard is going to be abused. They lived up to there contract. Seems the government inspectors, dropped the ball.

Mostly? Maybe when it first started. Actually the "Mostly" has been placed on our tax dollars, since funding of PBS is way down, with the government paying the majority of the bill. Wasn't there recent news of shutting down PBS for lack of funding?

How about this link? The Joint Landowners Coalition of New York, Inc is also aggresively opposing the movie for its inaccurate portral of the industry and its practices.

AFIK PBS is still mostly funded by private contributions and charitable organizations.

We should have communications channels (TV, Cable TV, AM & FM Radio and Internet Websites) completely independent of all private and commercial funding and dedicated to investigating anything of a suspicious nature in both the private and government sectors with an emphasis on collusion between the two.

Corporate funding = commercial bias = Business propaganda

Government funding = no bias = accurate reporting

Governments may be inept but the private sector is inimical.
