What does everyone think about these stats? I'm surprised they are so low! I thought we were ranked higher and had better stats than these...

Thumbs up THIS is more like it!

It's not Pittsburgh, but it's a suburb of Pitt. I love Upper St. Clair!
Per US News & World Reports:
Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania (http://www.usnews.com/business/best-places/listing/pennsylvania/upper_st._clair - broken link)
For a quiet residential option, consider Upper St. Clair, Pa. This quaint town of fewer than 20,000 residents is located in the hilly woodlands outside Pittsburgh, where the Whiskey Rebellion of the late 1700s was centered.

Well, CNN Money intended this to be a ranking of the best small cities, so it didn't necessarily use criteria appropriate for evaluating larger cities. Second, citing statistics for just the City of Pittsburgh itself is not particularly meaningful, since the borders of the City itself are largely arbitrary. I think the ideal statistics would be for the Census-defined urbanized area of Pittsburgh, but in a pinch you can look at metro area or Allegheny County statistics.

^^^Agreed! Plus offered a little interpretation? Most of the numbers are in and of themselves meaningless w/o comparison to other cities.

That website was a ranking of suburban towns, not real cities. Troy, Michigan??? Give me a break. That's a suburb of Detroit.
