LOL! I attend many events and shows at the Benedum and see tuxes rarely.
Maybe that is more the opera crowd (I have never been to an opera...)?

None of those racks are an improvement over what is around now...

I don't see any of these that qualify unfortunately.
Brandon Boan's? It seems pretty small and easy to use

I like the Steam Pipe one, but it might take up too much space.

The bike tire one is self explanatory.

I hate the vertical one with a passion how many back injuries can be created with that... The bridge is ok but to bulky the rest are not very good. It needs to be something that can hold more than one bike.

I wish I had known about this. I could have created a better design.

Vaughn Washburn's sculpture type one would be appropriate for the cultural district if it could actually hold bikes.
Totally agree.

I like the bridge one, but it could easily hold more bikes from the sides rather than having them pull on to the bridge. It does pander to Pittsburghers though, so I feel bad for the other designers who probably put more thought into their designs.

The one where the bikes hang vertically seems like the worst idea. Interesting concept, but many people simply wouldn't use it.
I like the bridge one too. The rest are too ridiculous for words.

Bike racks grace Cultural District | TribLIVE

The bike racks are up and in use. I have to say I still really like the original 'three rivers' design that is all over the city for its utility, small footprint, and recognizability; but these new ones are nice since they double as as public art.
