It was announced today that Pittsburgh drag queen Alaska Thunderfvck was cast on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 5. Alaska's significant other, Sharon Needles, won Season 4.

Congratulations Alaska! Congratulations to the Pittsburgh drag scene for being one the fiercest in the country!

Yep. It has put parts of Pittsburgh's gay scene on the world map. Glad you've finally come around.

thank god we now know scott's stance on drag queens! how ever could this thread exist without him reminding us that he doesn't like them?

I'm with Scott on this one. Narcissism + "reality" show = two of my least favorite things. Then again, I'm one of those cranky old social liberals who watches NatGeo.
