They increased the speed limit on the turnpike I believe, its 70 now. I drive the stretch of the turnpike from Eastgate (PA border) to I280 every other week it seems like. I routinely go 78-80mph, have passed dozens of state boys and never been pulled over.

I have never really had a problem in Ohio either. I was averaging 75 mph on the turnpike being passed by many cars including troopers. Now if you want to talk about ridiculous police states: Maryland and Virginia (the only state where they have a speed limit of "slow")

Indiana on the stretch from Michigan to Chicago.

The eastern part is a little better but once you get west of Cleveland and Zanesville, I think it's awful to drive through.

They raised the speed limit on the Ohio Turnpike to 70.

I've probably driven to Columbus 100 times. It takes 3 hours and yeah it's boring as anything along the way (although part of that is the 100 times).

Same thing going east, very sick of the Turnpike/70/270 drive to DC which I've also done about that much. The Turnpike section I've done even more than that, probably fewer than 100 times all the way to DC, but more than 50.

Cleveland I've only done about 10-20 I guess? Dunno. That's pretty boring too. Of course I've also driven to Boston about 10 times by now. Anything you drive enough times and often enough gets old.

Yeah, I kinda agree with this statement.

Now Denver is isolated...can't get anywhere easily from there. And Denver is growing fast, and it snows there too...so go figure

They've got the "outdoors, mountains" image.

Personally, I wouldn't want to live there. Not fond of Denverites' attitude. Seattle has a similar image and from what I've heard you'll find the "Seattle Freeze" there.
